The Earth is in agony, climatic disasters and biological aberrations have exterminated plants, animals and humans by the millions. Until the emergence of a new generation of children "changed", able to adapt to an environment that has become surprisingly hot as hell. But who are, in reality, these children? From where? Represent a real hope for or to be destroyed at any cost before the "others" take over? Why intellects larger, more powerful than ours, scan the agony of the Earth from the depths of the universe ... No more human is a book without a reason .
The book is poorly written, the story told in two words seems quite intriguing. Aliens come to earth and kidnap some young people more or less. They will return after several decades, while the boys will have passed a much shorter time because of high speeds in space. The world has totally changed and collapsed in a huge crisis due to biological warfare. The author follows the boys and other characters along the passing of years, for decades, in a world in decline until the genetics of the human race disappear. I said that the plot seems intriguing but reading the novel you immediately feel a sense of loss. This plot makes sense? In fact did not have it, is a succession of episodes, a sort of choral and generational novel but with no real purpose. It is not roots, not a ' Iliad, not war and peace . There is nothing underneath to support a plot that by its nature is highly ambitious. I am reminded, for science fiction, perhaps only the foundation of Asimov, not so little with which to compare miserably pale and unfortunately for poor Nancy. It seems that someone has told the author: he began to write and then see.
And then go ahead to write what you think. In the end the result we pack and sell it to fools. The result is a story that is not passionate about anything, that does not involve and does not make much sense. Someone should have warned that a hundred years of solitude has already been written, and with very different results .. Also uses two techniques that are a symptom rather bleak novel in each of shortage of ideas. Free use of sex, which is purified from each element of passion and returned as a meatloaf sadomasochism. The young trumpet into the space it like hedgehogs, but they do not like all the guys in the world (in fact all the guys who live close to their peers as curly horn, if allowed). No, I'm forced to do so compelled by the aliens voyeurs release pheromones into the space. They have a plan, save the human race by changing their DNA. But obviously they have not yet invented the artificial propagation or can not talk to people and then have to match them with bad diabolical plan! The episode is so out of context which is embarrassing .. The other trick is to use technology and recent discoveries as equipment, without a real literary motif. At one point, we speak of mad cow disease, the aliens did not know that defeat and with hard work, all pissed off. Note that we are centuries ahead in the future. Could someone explain to the author that with the discovery of prions has opened an important field of study in medicine and biology? It was discovered that life without DNA? Well before the passing of the decades of the literary Nobel Prizes are won for that search. Instead the use of this disease is presented in a hidden, we never hear of mad cow disease, as it were, that elegance that I speak of a thing without the name a name, go for a writer much pussy. Meanwhile, the reader wonders how to allow anyone to pick up a pen or keys that mysterious thing with the letters that appear on a video, something you have never seen readers insane! All indigestible loaf is written with style, it is not the tell the writers. The result is nothing around but with the hole!

Nancy Kress Nancy Anne Koningisor was born in Buffalo, New York, January 20, 1948. Did the college at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, becoming a primary school teacher. He worked for four years as a teacher and then became a homemaker after her first marriage. Starter to write at this time managing to become a professional writer.
